IA50 Emeritus Status - Deetken Impact 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VANCOUVER, BC – March 11, 2026 Achieving a milestone that reflects sustained leadership in impact investing, Deetken Impact has been included in the 2026 ImpactAssets 50 (IA 50) for the seventh time since 2020, the second consecutive year as an Emeritus Manager. The IA 50, one of the industry’s most widely respected guides to private market impact investment managers, is announced annually by ImpactAssets and highlights firms advancing measurable social and environmental outcomes through disciplined investment strategies.

This year’s IA 50 coincides with the fifteenth anniversary of the initiative, highlighting how impact investing has evolved into a global marketplace spanning a wide range of sectors and strategies. Within the IA 50, the Emeritus designation is reserved for fund managers that have been included on the list for at least five years and continue to maintain an active investment strategy grounded in a clear impact thesis while deploying capital toward measurable social or environmental outcomes. All IA 50 managers must also meet baseline criteria, including a minimum five-year operating history, the ability to accept U.S. investment, operations at a meaningful geographic scale, and strong financial oversight, along with a demonstrated commitment to measuring and reporting impact using recognized frameworks and indicators.

“Being recognized on the IA 50 for the seventh time is a meaningful milestone for our team. It reflects years of thoughtful partnership with companies and investors who believe that well-structured capital can help businesses grow and provide competitive returns while addressing some of the region’s most pressing social and environmental challenges. For us, the work has always been about building sustainable enterprises and demonstrating that impact investing can be both rigorous and pragmatic.”

A Sector at Scale

This year’s IA 50 arrives during a period of significant expansion across the impact investing ecosystem. The initiative’s fifteenth anniversary underscores the rapid institutionalization of the field: when the IA 50 first launched in 2011, the selected managers collectively represented $8.9 billion in assets under management, with none exceeding $500 million. Today, firms across the IA 50, Emerging Impact Managers, and Emeritus Managers lists represent approximately $202 billion in combined assets, illustrating the scale impact investing has achieved in a decade and a half.

“Over the past 15 years, impact investing has evolved into a sophisticated global marketplace. The depth, scale, and diversity represented in today’s IA 50 demonstrates that impact investing is now a core investment strategy—one that brings together a wide range of asset classes, geographies, and investment themes to drive measurable change.“

Jed Emerson

IA 50 Review Committee Chair

The 2026 IA 50 cohort reflects the diverse strategies shaping today’s impact investing landscape. Social impact themes remain the primary focus for 58% of listed managers, targeting areas such as financial and economic inclusion, community development, affordable housing, and health and wellbeing, while 34% prioritize environmental solutions including energy transition, clean technology, and decarbonization. Collectively, IA 50 fund managers deployed nearly $17 billion toward impact investments over the past year alone. These priorities closely align with the investment themes reflected in Deetken Impact’s portfolio, which supports enterprises advancing financial inclusion, gender equality, and climate solutions across Latin America and the Caribbean.

“Across the IA 50, we see sustained investor commitment to affordability and economic development strategies that strengthen communities and expand access to opportunity. From affordable housing and community development to capital for small businesses and underrepresented entrepreneurs, these managers are directing capital where it can help build an inclusive economy while delivering competitive financial returns. That alignment between impact and performance is what continues to drive momentum in the market.“

Strengthening Climate and Gender-Focused Investment

The 2026 IA 50 also reflects a sector growing in both diversity and professional expertise. More than half of the firms included have been operating for over a decade, and the number of managers with assets exceeding $1 billion continues to increase, highlighting the maturation of the market and the expanding institutional participation in impact strategies.

Within this evolving landscape, Deetken Impact continues to advance investment strategies at the intersection of climate action and gender equality. The firm recently expanded its climate finance initiatives through a partnership with the Government of Canada supporting the Inclusive Climate Action Fund, a blended finance vehicle designed to accelerate climate solutions while advancing gender equity across emerging markets.

A Trusted Benchmark for Impact Investing Excellence

A practitioner and leader in the impact investing market, ImpactAssets brings a unique vantage point to the IA 50. Its experience and scale of private market investments, as well as institutional expertise in evaluating fund managers for clients and its investment platform, continue to be integral to the analytical framework that underpins the IA 50.

Selections are made by an independent IA 50 Review Committee of 13 globally recognized industry leaders, following a rigorous, multi-stage process that leverages both qualitative and quantitative analysis led by ImpactAssets Capital Partners. The IA 50 Review Committee makes the final selection, ensuring the analysis adheres to a structured framework of fairness, rigor and objectivity. All selected firms must demonstrate a track record in impact investing, clear impact objectives, and U.S. investor accessibility.

“The steady expansion of the IA 50, along with an increase in investment professionals across underrepresented groups and continued strengthening of impact practices, signals a market that is growing with discipline and integrity.”

Cynthia Muller

IA 50 Review Committee Member and Director of Mission Investment, W.K. Kellogg Foundation
